The car battery terminals are those points that connect the circuitry of the car to the battery. If these terminals are damaged, the car battery would not connect to the car. To keep the car battery terminals from getting damaged.

1) You have to clean the terminals regularly.

2) Apply di electric coating to the terminals to keep it from rusting

Remember to maintain your car's battery terminals to ensure they perform well and last long. Check for loose connections and ensure the wires are firmly linked to the terminals. You can clean them by mixing water and baking soda to develop a paste. If the corrosion is extreme, it is best to have them cleaned by a reliable mechanic.

That's right we need to avoid getting our car terminals damaged to avoid the car battery not being able to easily connect to the car. one way of achieving this is by cleaning the terminals regularly.

You need to follow below points to protect you car' battery terminal from damage:

1. Regular clean the terminals with a brush and baking soda or hot water to remove corrosion.

2. Spray grease or oil on the terminals to protect it from corrosion.

3. Always check the terminals are tight but not over tight.

4. Always avoit to park your car in extreme heat.

5. Regular maintenance.

Didn't know that extreme heat affects car battery terminals. The point about over tightening of the terminals is true. It easily damages the terminals. It damaged that of my uncle's SUV.

When you talk about cleaning, you don't clean car battery terminals with water. If you do that, it would rust. I don't even think you need to clean it since it is always in use.

Overcharging the battery when it runs down can lead to the terminal getting damaged easily. Charge your car batteries at optimum level to protect your car battery terminal.
