It's All Honda 1300

The Honda 1300, introduced by Honda, represented the company's initial foray into the mid-size car market. Produced from 1969 to 1972, it was positioned to rival the Nissan Bluebird and Toyota Corona. Despite its promising prospects, the Honda 1300 faced challenges stemming from engineering issues, which caused it to be priced higher than its competitors. However, this model played a pivotal role in shaping the development of the highly successful Honda Civic.

Honda 1300 was way ahead of it's time in terms of technology and was sold at a range above other Japanese models as a result. That's why it didn't really have commercial success despite being an improvement over competing offerings.
