The BMW 3 Series is a compact executive car manufactured by the German automaker BMW and has been in production since 1975. It is it manufacturers best selling model accounting for around 30% of BMW annual total sales. The BMW 3 Series has won numerous awards throughout its history such as hitting the Car and Driver magazines annual Ten Best list over 20 times making it the longest running entry. Competitors include the Acura TLX, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Audi A4, Cadillac ATS, Infiniti Q50, Jaguar XE, Lexus IS, Mercedes-Benz C Class, Genesis G70, Volvo S60, and Tesla Model 3, all smaller type sporty luxury sedans. Motorsports magazine named the BMW 3 Series as the second most important performance car built in the last 25 years.
