The Dodge Grand Caravan is a family minivan passenger caravan manufactured by Chrysler and sold under its Dodge brand. The Caravan was introduced for the 1984 model year along with its variant, the Plymouth Voyager. Other variants of the Caravan include the the upscale Town and Country and the Routan. Popular competitors have been the Odyssey the Quest, and the Sienna, all popular Minivans. Minivans are often used for transporting large groups of people or by businesses for delivery services or moving cargo. The Caravan and its sister vehicles are treated and sold as separate vehicles, however, it is expected that the three will be combined in the near future and sold under a single nameplate; that is how similar these minivans compare. The main difference from the Grand Caravan is a longer wheelbase. Grand Caravan was discontinued after the 2020 model year at which time the average MSRP was $29,025.
