The Ford Escape is a compact crossover and sport utility vehicle SUV sold by the Ford Motor Company. It was introduced in 2001 priced below the Ford Explorer. The Escape comes in either FWD front wheel drive or 4WD four wheel drive. While the Ford Escape is technically a crossover vehicle, it is marketed by Ford as part of their traditional SUV lineup.
