The Escape comes in either FWD front wheel drive or 4WD four wheel drive. While the Ford Escape is technically a crossover vehicle, it is marketed by Ford as part of their traditional SUV lineup. The Ford Escape is thought of by many as a drilled down smaller more compact Explorer with similar body style and features.
