The Jaguar X-Type is a compact executive car produced by British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar from 2001 to 2009. It was the smallest and least expensive model in the Jaguar lineup, positioned below the mid-size S-Type and full-size XJ. The X-Type was available in both sedan and wagon (called Sportwagon) body styles and was offered with all-wheel drive as an option. It was replaced by the Jaguar XE in the Jaguar lineup. The Jaguar X-Type has a mixed reputation when it comes to reliability. Some owners have reported issues with the car, particularly with the electrical and cooling systems, as well as some engine problems.
