Completed when the Jeep had fewer than 1;000 miles; the conversion predates the factory four-door Wrangler by several years and shows to be built to such a high standard that many people assume it was factory produced. This isnt just a custom Jeep its a piece of automotive history! Now as to its pedigree....the original owner was none other than Thomas DuPont; founder of the DuPont Registry. He purchased the Jeep new and with fewer than 1;000 miles on the odometer; commissioned Tennessee Custom Cars to transform it into a four-door Wrangler years before Jeep engineers ever envisioned the JK Unlimited. We spoke directly with Mr. DuPont; & confirmed the Jeeps history and he shared that it spent much of its life at his home in Nantucket.
