However, Elon Musk\u2019s company this week put out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.notateslaapp.com\/news\/2357\/tesla-updates-cybertruck-range-extender-timeline-and-specs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">revised specs for the Cybertruck\u2019s Range Extender<\/a>, and they unfortunately appear to continue EV manufacturer\u2019s reputations for over-promising and under-delivering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Originally, the Range Extender was slated to be released to those who had pre-ordered it in early 2025, and the new specs released this week for the device \u2013 which takes the form of an additional $16,000 battery pack installed in the Cybertruck\u2019s bed \u2013 now sees it only boosting the EV\u2019s range from 340 miles to 445 miles on the Dual Motor variant and from 320 miles to 440 miles on the three-engine Cyberbeast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This downgrade represents a 20 percent decrease from the device\u2019s original specs, and will result in a drop of the Cybertruck\u2019s previously-revealed total range upgrade by 6 percent. Tesla has given no explanation for the change, although experts surmise that the company revised their original range estimates when running the Range Extender under EPA test conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NEWS: Tesla has released pricing for the all the options on the non-foundation series Cybertruck.<br><br>\u2022 Cyber Wheels and Covers: $3,500<br>\u2022\u00a0White Interior color: $2,000.
