File photo: Ivan Marc, Shutter Stock, licensed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AUSTIN, TX &#8211; Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that his electric vehicle (EV) company has&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/08\/14\/elon-musk-says-tesla-has-made-over-3-million-cars.html\" target=\"_blank\">manufactured over three million cars<\/a>&nbsp;to date, with a third of that impressive number being comprised of models that were made at a factory located in Shanghai, China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Musk made the announcement&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1558867758368133122\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">via a tweet<\/a>, where he posted a picture of the Chinese Tesla factory\u2019s workers gathered around the millionth EV to officially roll off of their assembly line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cCongrats Giga Shanghai on making millionth car!
