The Acura RL, also called the Honda Legend, is a a mid-full size luxury sedan produced by the Acura division of Honda. The RL is considered the flagship of the marque, having succeeded the Acura Legend, and was replaced by the Acura RLX. The model name RL is an abbreviation for REFINED LUXURY. The RL has won far too many awards to list and was named by Consumer Reports as the most reliable new car among luxury sedans. The RL has better/higher quality materials and a better fit and finish that the TL, which provides a stiffer and harsher ride partly from lower profile tires. There is also a difference in features/options; RL is loaded with more. The Acura RL competes mainly with the Lexus GS. Overall the Acura RL reliability is 70.7 and that makes it very reliable. RL was discontinued in 2020. At that time the average MSRP for an RL was $55,925.
