The Buick Century is a upscale full-size sedan made by the Buick division of General Motors introduced way back in 1936. Buick intended to position the Century as a lower priced alternative to competing family sedans and came with an assortment of senior citizen friendly features like extra large dashboard buttons and an extremely soft suspension. Production of the Buick Century ended in 2005 when it was replaced by the Buick LaCrosse. Buick vehicles have an average lifespan of up to 200,000 miles. Popular competitors to the Century have been the Pontiac Grand Prix, Buick Regal and Pontiac GTO. According to the 2022 Consumer Reports rankings, Buick is above average in terms of reliability, coming in at #11 out of 32 car brands and earning an overall score of 72/100. For a 2-wheel drive vehicle, Century was discontinued after the 2005 model year at which time the average MSRP was $22,950.
