1970 Chevrolet Nova

The 1969-72 Nova is one of the most sought-after muscle cars of the entire era. Built to be a compact automobile for the everyman, the Nova was available in two or four door sedan body styles with engine choices ranging from a lowly 151CI four cylinder to the monster 427CI V-8 in the case of the 177 COPO Novas produced for 1970. The Nova was in its prime that year, and due to fuel economy, safety, and emission concerns, it was all downhill after that. The Nova suffered the same fate as all the other muscle cars, with horsepower numbers falling precipitously and engines beings downsized year after year. If only the engineers of that era could see the horsepower and fuel economy that modern day muscle produces.
