The Chevrolet Uplander is a minivan that was produced by General Motors from 2005 to 2008. It was part of GM's lineup of minivans, which also included the Pontiac Montana SV6, Buick Terraza, and Saturn Relay. The Uplander was based on the U-body platform, which was also used for the other minivans in the lineup. The Uplander was offered with a range of engine options, including a 3.5-liter V6, a 3.9-liter V6, and a 3.9-liter V6 that could run on E85 ethanol. All of the engines were paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The Uplander was available in three trim levels: LS, LT, and LT Plus. Standard features on the LS model included air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a CD player. The LT model added features like a power driver's seat, a DVD entertainment system, and a remote vehicle starter. The LT Plus model added leather seats and a power sliding passenger door. Despite being a capable and practical minivan, the Uplander was not as popular as some of its competitors, and it was eventually discontinued after the 2008 model year. The Uplander was discontinued after the 2009 model year at which time the average MSRP was $29,895. It was replaced by the Chevrolet Traverse. |
