The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a midsize Pickup Truck from the Ford Motor Company sold between the years of 2000 and 2010. During its first year of sales there was over a three month waiting list for this model. The Sport Trac has competed with the crew-cab variants of the Ranger, Avalanche, Colorado, Canyon, Dakota, Frontier, Tacoma and Ridgeline. Sport Trac is available as an XLS, XLT, Limited and XLT Premium as well as a rarer Adrenalin Edition all of which add features and badging. The Sport Trac was discontinued in 2010 when high fuel prices and the recession saw demand drop off considerably. The Ford Explorer Sport Trac Reliability Rating is 3.5 out of 5 and ranks 21st out of 32 for all car brands. An average Ford Explorer can easily achieve 200,000 miles and if you visit Explorer forums, you will find several examples of users with over 300k miles on the odometer. When it was discontinued in 2010, the average MSRP was $33,065. The MSRP did vary depending on the options that were selected; with all available options the MSRP could have been as high as over $40,000.
