The Thunderbird has competed with several luxury car brands over the years, including the Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac Eldorado, Buick Riviera, Oldsmobile Toronado, Plymouth Barracuda, Dodge Challenger, AMC Javelin, and Mercury Cougar.
