The Ford Transit Connect is a compact panel van or compact Minivan derived from the Ford Focus by Ford Europe. It has been imported to the North American market since about 2010. The Transit Connect has competition from the Ford Aerostar Cargo Van but Aerostar discontinued production in 1997. It is sometimes confused with the Ford Transit, a light commercial vehicle used primarily as a cargo van, passenger van or minivan. The Ford Transit Connect was awarded "North American Truck of the Year 2010" at the North American International Auto Show and "Van of the Year 2004" by Professional Van and Light Truck Magazine. Transit Connect is discontinued after the 2023 model year in North America at which time the MSRP started at $34,100.
