The GMC Yukon and its rebadged Chevrolet Tahoe counterpart, are full-size SUVs from General Motors. The name Tahoe refers to the rugged and scenic area surrounding Lake Tahoe in the western United States. while the name Yukon refers to the Yukon territory of northern Canada. GMC extended its size with the Yukon XL. The GMC Denali nameplate started as the luxury version of the Yukon for the 1999 model year.
