The Honda HR-V, or HRV, is a subcompact crossover SUV. It is a smaller and more affordable alternative to the Honda CR-V and has been in production since 2015. The HR-V features a spacious and flexible cabin, comfortable ride, good fuel economy, and is generally considered to be a practical and reliable vehicle. It competes with other subcompact crossovers like the Mazda CX-30, Toyota C-HR, and Hyundai Kona. The Honda HR-V has generally been considered a reliable and safe vehicle. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2022 Honda HR-V an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, with four stars for frontal crash, five stars for side crash, and four stars for rollover. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also gave the 2022 HR-V good ratings in all categories, including crashworthiness and crash avoidance and mitigation. The HR-V has also consistently scored well in reliability rankings by various organizations, such as J.D. Power and Consumer Reports.
