Introduced as a replacement for the Cherokee, the Liberty is priced between the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. 2012 marked the end of production for the Jeep Liberty. Popular competitors have been the Dodge Journey, Jeep Commander, Nissan Xterra and Jeep Patriot. Typically, a Liberty should last anywhere from 10-15 years or 200,000 to 400,000 miles. Liberty was discontinued after the 2012 model year at which time the average MSRP was $25,770. The base price was $23,360, and the top-of-the-line Limited model had an MSRP of $29,355.
