This one of a kind Wrangler YJ, in exceptional condition, is a real time capsule. The Jeep shows 318,000 miles(!!!) on the tach but it looks and drives as if it just has 25,000 miles on it. The Jeep is bone stock and has the popular 6 cylinder 4.0l high output engine with electric fuel injection. The motor runs strong and flawlessly. No ticking, knocking or rough idle, no oil leaks. It purrs like a kitten. The 5 speed manual transmission does not feel to be worn out at all. It shifts tightly and accurately through all 5 gears. The clutch moves and feels like one with very low miles. There are no rattling noises or any indication of wear and tear. It really is unbelievable how clean the Jeep looks and how well it performs. We therefore think that it was towed behind a motorhome for most of its missions. The seats show no sign of wear. There isnt a single rip on them. Everything works. A/C blows cold air, all gauges work. There is nothing that needs to be attended to. The previous owner must have had a severe case of OCD. The Jeep has been meticulously maintained all of its life, has fresh oil, a fresh tune up and is ready for another 300K miles.

The Jeep Wrangler is a series of compact and mid-size four-wheel drive 4X4 off-road SUVs manufactured by Jeep since 1986. The Wrangler was originally created for war when the U.S. Army asked all of the American automakers to invent a general-purpose, quarter-ton recon vehicle to be used in World War II. All Wrangler models continue to use a separate body and frame, rigid live axles both front and rear, a tapering nose design with flared fenders, a fold-flat windshield, and can be driven without doors. Also, with few exceptions, they have part-time four-wheel drive systems, with the choice of high and low gearing, and standard are open bodies with removable hard- or soft-tops. Wrangler has been complemented with long-wheelbase versions for the Wrangler Unlimited. Its main competitors have been the Bronco and 4Runner. Wranglers Reliability Rating is 3.5 out of 5.0, which ranks it 25th out of 26 for compact SUVs. The Wrangler also earned Good ratings in four tests from the IIHS, and got a four-star rating overall in front crash tests from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
