The Lexus RX is an Midsize Luxury Crossover SUV sold since 1998 by Lexus. The RX has been the one of the best selling luxury SUVs in the United States since its introduction. Lexus earned a top honor in US News and World Report for their best cars for family awards as well as best overall value by ItelliChoice. The RX remains in the top tier among premium brand crossover SUVs and was actually the first luxury crossover SUV. Top competitors have been the GV80, MDX, GLE-Class, X5, Q7, XC90, Defender and Porsche Cayenne. RX has been available as the RX 350, 350 F Sport, 350L, 450H, 450H F Sport, and 450HL. The NHTSA gives the AWD RX five stars for safety, with four stars in frontal impact. As far as reliability, Lexus won the J.D. Power award for the most reliable cars nine times in 10 years, receiving a reliability score of 81/100. But specifically, the RX 350 gets a reliability score of 85/100.
