This compact crossover brings Mazdas SKYACTIV engineering to everyday driving, offering lively response from a refined four-cylinder and smooth shifts from its six-speed automatic while delivering sensible fuel efficiency for commuting and longer trips. *Rear camera*: A rearview camera gives you clearer sightlines when backing up, easing parking maneuvers and helping you spot low obstacles or children that might otherwise be hidden. *Brake assist*: In sudden braking situations the system detects panic inputs and adds stopping force, improving your chances of avoiding a collision when every foot of stopping distance counts. *Cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls*: Set and adjust highway speed without taking your hands off the wheel to reduce fatigue on long drives and encourage steadier fuel use. *Touchscreen*: The central *touchscreen* puts key functions within fingertip reach for more intuitive infotainment control, making navigation and media selection faster and less distracting. *Rear collision warning*: Sensors monitor traffic behind you and issue alerts if a rear impact appears likely, giving you extra time to react or mitigate an incident. *Automatic full-time 4-wheel/all-wheel drive*: The drivetrain transfers torque where its needed automatically, so you gain traction and confidence in wet, snowy, or slippery conditions without driver intervention. *All wheel drive*: By supplying power to both front and rear axles, AWD helps maintain grip and composure when road surfaces are variable, improving stability and acceleration in poor weather. *Variable valve timing*: The engine adjusts valve timing across RPM ranges to balance low-speed smoothness with stronger high-rpm performance, helping both driveability and efficiency. *Inline 4-cylinder*: The compact four-cylinder layout delivers a good mix of everyday power and economical operation, keeping ownership costs and fuel use manageable. *Cylinder deactivation*: When cruising, unnecessary cylinders can be shut down to reduce fuel consumption, stretching your range between fill-ups and lowering operating costs. *DOHC*: A dual overhead cam design helps the engine breathe more efficiently at higher revs, contributing to sharper throttle response and a more energetic feel. *Direct injection*: Precise fuel delivery into each

Model info:

The Mazda CX-5 is a compact crossover SUV produced by Mazda since 2012. A successor to both the Tribute and the slightly larger CX-7, it is the manufacturers first model to feature the Kodo design language and the first model to be fully developed with a range of technologies branded as Skyactiv, including a rigid, lightweight platform combined with a series of engines and transmissions to reduce emissions and fuel consumption. CX5 is positioned above the smaller CX30 and has been the best-selling model offered by the brand. Top competitors are the Rogue, RAV4, CR-V, Escape, Sportage, Forester and Tiguan, all of which are good alternatives when considering price, performance, and features.
