Mazda 5 or Mazda5 (no space) is a compact MPV Minivan sold since the summer of 2005. Previously it was sold under the name Premacy. While classified by Mazda as an MPV it is also considered a mid-sized wagon and competes with other vehicles viewed as a mini-minivan. The Mazda5 uses minivan-style sliding doors in the rear. Mazda5 was the first compact minivan sold in the United States. Mazda5 fits six passengers using three rows of seats, with two seats per row. The middle row of seats recline and slide front-to-rear, and fold flat. The rear row also folds flat.
