The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is a luxury midsize sport utility crossover SUV built by the German automaker Mercedes-Benz. The M-Class became a sales success in the United States and Mexico. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLK and the larger GL-Class, with which it shares platforms. The Mercedes M-Class won first place in the luxury crossover category and has been named the most ideal vehicle for Americans based on a study by Auto Pacific. Top competitors for the Mercedes-Benz M-Class include the X5, MDX, Q5, Grand Cherokee, RX and Range Rover Sport. As far as reliability, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class has a Quality & Reliability rating of 83 out of 100 from J.D. Power which it considers great. M-Class was discontinued after the 2015 model year at which time the average MSRP was $53,500. M-Class was replaced by the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, which is essentially the same vehicle with a new name.
