2009 Mercury Grand Marquis for sale in Gallipolis

The Mercury Grand Marquis is a rear wheel drive full size luxury sedan sold by the Lincoln Mercury division of the Ford Motor Company until 2011. The Grand Marquis was the flagship of the Mercury lineup. The Grand Marquis had been in used since 1975 as the premium trim level of the Mercury Marquis but it became a distinct model later in life. The car was essentially a twin of the Ford Crown Victoria with which it shared the Panther platform along with the Lincoln Town Car. The car is very comfortable and dependable. It easily seats 6 people. The ride is very smooth and the body is very solid unlike new cars made with more plastic. Police have loved Mercury and used both the Mercury Grand Marquis and the Mercury Mountaineer. After the discontinuation of the Crown Victoria at the end of the 2007 model year, the Grand Marquis had largely taken its place as the entry level Panther platform model. In continuous production for over 36 years, the Grand Marquis was the longest produced mercury. By the end of 2010 Ford announced that it would discontinue all Mercury vehicles after 72 years. In total, nearly 2.7 million were produced, making it the best selling vehicle ever sold under the Mercury brand.
