It is a compact cargo van and wagon type people carrier, replacing the older Nissan Vanette. It is popular in use as a yellow colored New York City taxi vehicle. It was engineered to compete with the Chevrolet Express Cargo Van. RepairPal gave the Nissan NV200 a high reliability score of 4.0 out of 5.0, ranking it 1st out of 21 commercial vans tested. Cargo vans are mostly used for transporting goods and equipment.
