The 2020 Tesla Model X Long Range Plus AWD makes arriving feel like an event, and this Midnight Silver Metallic example, with the odometer hovering around the 49,700-mile mark, pairs a black interior and wood dash trim with 22-inch Onyx Black wheels, a huge center touchscreen and the signature falcon-wing doors that swing up and out of the way. Plug it in at home overnight and wake up to a full battery, ready for the school run, the commute or a long road trip. The mileage tells a gentle story: the odometer works out to roughly 8,000 miles per year since the Model X was first titled in September 2020. Why Shoppers Buy This Model The Model X is Tesla's family-sized electric SUV, and it stands out from everything else on the road. Edmunds praises its falcon-wing doors, its giant touchscreen and a front trunk that is the largest in its segment. Cargo space measures about 26 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to about 87.8 cubic feet with the seats folded, and the Model X can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. Shoppers typically cross-shop the Model X with the BMW X5, the Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Tesla Model S. Many choose the Tesla for its quickness, its access to the Supercharger network and its constantly impressive technology. Automotive Press and Industry Recognition Edmunds rates the 2020 Model X 8.1 out of 10, calling it great overall. In Edmunds' testing, the Long Range reached 60 mph in about 4.8 seconds, and Tesla's own estimate for the Long Range is 4.4 seconds, which is sports-car quick for a family SUV. Crash-test results are excellent as well. The Model X earned 5 stars overall from NHTSA, including 5 stars in the frontal, side and rollover tests. Warranty The odometer on this Model X currently reads 49,691 miles. This Model X is STILL COVERED by transferable Tesla factory warranty protection on its most important electric components, measured from an estimated in-service date of September 2020. Remaining Transferable Factory Coverage: Battery and Drive Unit Warranty: 8 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, running through September 2028 with about 100,300 miles remaining, protecting the high-voltage battery pack and the drive units that power the vehicle. Tesla's 4-year, 50,000-mile basic coverage has run its course, so the Model X is offered on its own merits, and the remaining battery and drive unit coverage is a valuable piece of the story for an electric vehicle. Extended service plans are available for owners who want protection beyond these factory terms. Standard Features The Long Range Plus is where the Model X starts to feel like the future. Heated front and rear seats, a 17-speaker audio system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, a massive center touchscreen and those unforgettable falcon-wing doors come with the vehicle, and the dual-motor setup makes it all feel effortless.
