American cars vs Japanese cars

Which do you think is better and stronger between cars made in America or cars from Japan?
For America we have cars like Tesla, Jeep, mustang and so on, while for Japan we have cars like Toyota, Honda and so on.

However, the options are limited here because the most durable vehicles are those from Germany. But making comparisons between American cars and Japanese Cars I will have to go with Japanese cars. Maybe it is because these cars are accessible on the market and I have seen quite a lot of people using them or maybe they are affordable. But I would have to go with Japanese vehicles.

Thw African market buys Japanese cars and that has defined my scope of cars. Only the Jeep is the American car model and brand available fairly sufficiently in my own country. So you guys in the US also consider Japanese cars more reliable? Truth be told, the Japanese car manufacturers have the strongest brands of cars. I think American cars are more luxury than durable.

I think that in India or in any other Asian countries, the Japanese brands are more on roads compared to American brands. The consumers for American brands are limited and the roads have mostly Japanes brands like Toyota, Honda, Nissan etc. Even the brands like Hyundai and Kia coming from South Korea are very popular here.

Jeep is one American car that has recently picked up popularity with certain consumer base. But otherwise, the Indian market is dominated by Japanese and South Korean brands. I totally agree that the Japanese cars are more in demand in Asian and African countries because they come with models that are tough and can withstand rhe bad roads and traffic in these countries.

The question of which is better is highly subjective. However, because I live in an Asian country, I will choose Japanese cars. We own a Honda and a Toyota, both of which were purchased about ten years ago and are still in good working condition today, with the required care and maintenance. If these Asian countries didn't push this far in technology, America would have had a monopoly which they would have shut out so many people in the world with expensive luxury products.

Personally, I think Japanese cars are more powerful and more cared for, I'm not saying this is true but it's what I believe, on the other hand I like Japanese cars more, I love the Toyota brand.

Japanese cars are very practical. No fancy stuff. Just addressing the basics that affects an average car owner. Why American cars are not making waves is that they want to do all those fancy stuff on cars that end up being very expensive whereas the common man can do without these features.
