Volkswagen, shortened to VW, is a German automaker founded on 28 May 1937 by the German Labour Front, a Nazi labour union, and headquartered in Wolfsburg. It is the flagship marque of the Volkswagen Group, the largest automaker by worldwide sales in 2016 and 2017.

One thing I have come to identify with German vehicles is that they are very sturdy and strong with exceptional capabilities. And Volkswagen isn't an exception. I would answer a definite yes that Volkswagen are very good cars.

If solidity and balance are selling points for you to define how good a car is, I would confidently say that Volkswagen cars are very good. I don't know how far they have gone with those fancy screens as a car brand but for basic car performance, Volkswagen cars are very good.
