Government Will Boost Funding for Public Electric Vehicle Chargers

Federal government has announced they plan to greatly boost funding to widening the scope of public electric vehicle networks in the country in order to increase the number of chargers available to 500,000 by the year 2030. Currently, according to the Department of Energy, there are approximately 140,000 EV charging ports in the country, with 90 percent of those being public.

This would still be a far cry if they want full adoption of electric vehicles by the year 2030. It is projected that the United States would need 2.3 million level level 2 car chargers if electric vehicles would be mainstream by 2030. We are hoping the private sector would help out with the backlog.

There is a great push for that in our country too. Many electric charging centers have come up in the last two years. Even a few have been installed in residential complex. In our apartment too, I have noticed that many newly purchased cars are electric.
All the state governments and central government in the country are pushing for alternative sources of energy and use of electric vehicles. Slowly they plan to have electric buses for public transportation. Government is putting a lot of money to develop infrastructure for electric vehicles to be widely accepted.

i dn6t think this a bad idea owing to the fact that doing this comes with a lot more benefits thsn any drawbacks. it is for the citizens to embrace the idea of buying electric cars.

The government desperately wants to protect the environment and are doing everything to support the electric vehicles revolution. This is a giant step by the government to support EVs and I know other tier 1 countries would follow suit.

With the coming of the electric vehicles, there would be less pressure on the oil reserves of the US government which would allow for such energy expense to be diversified. I think that is why the US government is really advocating and pushing and putting measures to ensure electric vehicles are mainstream.

This is definitely a good play by the government because if they don't do it, it's going to be very difficult for most people in the country and in a way, it's still going to affect the economy. Well, it's not saying it that's the problem but actually executing the plan on time that matters most.
