Should selling gasoline-powered cars be prohibited in the future to encourage the use of electric vehicles?

I believe that there should be a prohibition on the sale of gasoline-powered cars in the future, especially if electric cars become more affordable and charging station infrastructure expands. It is worth noting that many countries are considering phasing out the sale of gasoline-powered cars by 2035 or later. This transition to electric vehicles is not only a positive step for the environment but also has the potential to significantly improve public health. What do you think?

If people no longer have access to these gasoline cars am pretty sure they will have no choice but to go for the electric ones. Then again they need to create more places were these cars can be recharged.

I think this can be one of the ways to promote EV. If your country has this kind of policy, how can the common people buy and use fossil fuel car. This can be harder approach, another softer approach is increase sales taxes, exercise duty, and other taxes on fossil fuel cars and give discounts on electric cars.

I think that banning gasoline cars to encourage the use of electric vehicles is not the best option, many people still cannot have an electric car due to their purchasing power, there are better ways to encourage the use of these vehicles, such as improving infrastructure, trying to make cars cheaper and more accessible to everyone...

I don't think banning the sales of gasoline based cars would be the catalyst that would make electric cars widely adopted. When electric cars have built and developed properly, it would crash in price and it would be fully adopted for gasoline cars to fade out.

Not many will like it. If gasoline cars are banned, then you need to come up with a worthy replacement, because electric cars are distinguished by their long-term charging. I would rather leave without a car than wait several hours for this car to charge

Electric car sales have been slowing, not growing.... We need choice.
I hope that these recent pushes to all electric get stopped in their tracks soon because the majority of consumers don't want all electric, at least not yet.

Banning gasoline powered cars would be the final answer to completely pushing for the massive adoption of electric cars. But that would be a massive call to make given the challenges with EVs now.
