There are several reasons why you should use synthetic oil instead of conventional oil in your car:

Performance Enhancement:
  • Reduced friction: Because synthetic oil flows more freely and reduces friction between engine parts, it improves engine performance and may improve fuel efficiency.
  • Greater viscosity range: Synthetic oil maintains its viscosity over a wider temperature range, outperforming conventional oil in both hot and cold weather. This can be especially useful for drivers in harsh weather conditions.
  • Increased protection: Synthetic oil protects against wear and tear, resulting in a longer engine lifespan.
  • Extended Drain Intervals: Because synthetic oil lasts longer than conventional oil, you can extend the time between oil changes. This can save you money and time.
Cleaner Engine:
  • Synthetic oil keeps your engine cleaner by preventing sludge and deposits from forming. This can improve the overall health and performance of the engine.
Better Environmental Friendliness:
  • Some synthetic oils are biodegradable and made from renewable resources, making them a more environmentally friendly option than conventional oil.
However, there are some potential disadvantages to consider:

  • Costlier: Synthetic oil is usually more expensive than conventional oil.
  • Not all engines require synthetic oil: Some older engines may not require the additional benefits of synthetic oil.
Here are some considerations to consider when deciding whether synthetic oil is right for you:
  • The year and make of your vehicle: Synthetic oil may be more beneficial in newer vehicles with advanced engines.
  • Your driving habits are as follows: If you drive in harsh weather or subject your engine to heavy loads, synthetic oil might be a good option.
  • Your financial situation: If you're on a tight budget, conventional oil might be a better option.
Finally, the best way to determine whether synthetic oil is right for you is to consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic. They can assist you in determining your specific needs and recommending the best oil for your vehicle.

Generally, synthetic oils seems to be the best option for newer models of cars. Doesn't mean the conventional oils won't put in a shift but it is just purely financial considerations that people do conventional oils for newer car models.
