Its unique design was originally intended to resemble a hot rod or custom car from the late 1930s or early 1940s. The Cruiser was offered in a variety of trims and configurations, including a two-door convertibles, a four-door wagon, and a two-door panel van. It was available with a wide range of engines, such as a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a turbocharged version, and a 2.2-liter diesel motor. However, its sales declined in the later half of its production, and was eventually discontinued in 2010.
