The Jeep Liberty is a compact sport utility vehicle SUV produced by Jeep. Introduced as a replacement for the Cherokee, the Liberty is priced between the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. 2012 marked the end of production for the Jeep Liberty. With over 1 million units sold, it leaves behind a rich legacy and legendary trail. Liberty take drivers off road and at a price point that does not break the bank. In addition Liberty can tow up to 5000 pounds and has earned a perfect five star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Popular competitors have been the Dodge Journey, Jeep Commander, Nissan Xterra and Jeep Patriot. Typically, a Liberty should last anywhere from 10-15 years or 200,000 to 400,000 miles. Liberty was discontinued after the 2012 model year at which time the average MSRP was $25,770. The base price was $23,360, and the top-of-the-line Limited model had an MSRP of $29,355.
