It slots below the Liberty alongside the slightly more expensive Compass in the Jeep lineup. It is said to be one of the least expensive SUVs in North America and one of the lowest priced SUV crossovers to date. Patriot utilizes the same platform as the discontinued Dodge Caliber hatchback, an example of closeness to a more compact crossover.
