Model info:

The Pontiac Firebird, built and produced by Pontiac or formally the Pontiac Motor Division of General Motors was designed as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. The Firebird legacy of high-performance engine options and striking style will live on in American history for centuries as one of the most significant domestic enthusiast cars. The older car was also made popular by the iconic film Smokey and the Bandit as well as Knight Rider which used a third generation Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with the character of KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) physically embodied as a modified 1982 Trans Am. Pontiac owners have long touted the cars reliability which has been recorded as an average rating of 4.5 from Edmunds.com. The limited production years make the first and second generation Pontiac Trans Am a rare bird for classical car collectors.
