Subaru Impreza is a compact vehicle manufactured since 1992 by Subaru, the division of Japanese Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI). Subaru introduced the Impreza as a replacement for the Leone. Now in its sixth generation, Subaru has offered four-door sedan and five-door hatchback body variants since 1992 and a coupe from 1995 for the first generation. Mainstream versions have received naturally aspirated boxer flat-four engines ranging from 1.5- to 2.5-liters, with the performance-oriented Impreza WRX and WRX STI models uprated with the addition of turbochargers. Since the third generation series, some markets have adopted the abbreviated Subaru WRX name for these high-performance variants. Top competitors have been the GTI, GLI, Si, and Stinger. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Impreza an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, with five stars in the frontal crash, side crash and rollover tests The Subaru Impreza sedan was discontinued after the 2023 model year. However, the hatchback version of the Impreza will continue to be produced. Despite the discontinuation of the sedan, the hatchback is still popular. It is a good choice for people who are looking for a reliable, fuel-efficient, and all-wheel drive car. The Impreza hatchback is also a good value for the money. If you are looking for a new Subaru Impreza, you will have to choose the hatchback version.
